Orange (Citrus sinensis), specifically sweet orange, refers to the citrus tree Citrus sinensis or Citrus aurantium Risso and its fruit. The orange is a hybrid of ancient cultivated origin, possibly between pomelo (Citrus maxima) and tangerine (Citrus reticulata). It is a small flowering tree with evergreen leaves. The orange fruit is a hesperidium, a type of berry.

Cosmetic Uses:Orange Peel Extract is rich in Vitamin C that helps various skin types' especially oily skin types. Orange Peel Extract will also have anti-bacterial properties. Orange Peel Extract is suitable for a variety of skin care applications including lotions, soaps, skin creams and lip balms. Use it to enhance moisture and to include the properties of Orange Peel in your formulations.

Standard Usage Level: 1 - 10% in skin and hair care products. Can be used up to 100%.

If ingredients are added to our bases and stock products, consideration should be given to the fact that this may shorten or change the shelf life and stability of the product.

In general, it is up to the company that is selling the product to the final consumer to determine the anticipated shelf life of the product.

Currently, the FDA does not generally require expiration dates on cosmetics or skincare products.
Consider being conservative about expiration time frames and encouraging the consumer to use up the product while it is fresh (4-8 months) or discard it after the time frame has passed.

It is the responsibility of the final retailer to conduct appropriate research and development on the use and safety of each item they offer for sale before retailing this item to the final consumer.
