The standard industry terminology equates a 100% Hyaluronic Acid Solution as a solution of 99% water and 1% Hyaluronic Acid by weight.
This is because this is the concentration considered maximal for a Hyaluronic Acid solution to maintain its fluid characteristics.

HA is the naturally occurring and widespread component found within the extracellular matrix (ECM) within bodily tissues, especially those of the face. Originally extracted from rooster combs, it is now produced as a reactive byproduct of benign bacteria and is identical to the substance found within the skin. Its water-binding and water-attracting attributes fill up the spaces between the connective fibers collagen and elastin in the dermis.

Sodium Hyaluronate has a small molecular size and is able to hold more water than any other natural substance, up to 1,000 times its weight in water.

When applied topically to the skin it can reach deep down into the dermis to combine with, maintain and attract water helping your skin bring and absorb water more effectively and reducing any sort of trans-epidermal water loss.

By helping to maintain and attract water within the extracellular matrix, it not only hydrates the skin and increases its volume and density, but, by effect, temporarily stabilizes the intercellular skin matrix—the glue that holds your face together.

The result of all of this leads to a slight swelling of the skin that reduces the appearance of wrinkles. leading to a temporary improvement of the skin.
Intense moisturization allows the skin to operate at a higher capacity to provide a better defense against environmental assaults and other aging effects.

Cosmetic Uses:
For topical application only.
Used in cosmetic products primarily focused on the surface of the skin. Since it is an excellent water reservoir and an ideal lubricant, Hyaluronic acid, when incorporated into cosmetics, leads to a perceptible and visible temporary improvement in skin appearance.

This food grade hyaluronic acid 1% solution does not contain any fillers, additives or anti-caking agents.
During manufacture, special attention is paid to maintaining its high relative molecular mass and a high degree of purity.

In water, low concentrations suffice to yield a highly viscous solution with outstanding spreading and lubricating properties.

Best practice: Store Hyaluronic Solution in the refrigerator and use as needed.
This preserved HA solution will keep without degradation for a minimum of 6 weeks without refrigeration.
Even though this HA solution is preserved, we do not recommend it be stored at room temperature for long periods of time unless introduced into other formulations.
The maximum safe time to keep preserved HA solution refrigerated without spoilage will depend upon the ability to keep the solution sterile and not containment it during accessing quantities to be used.
Microbial contamination of the solution will cause it to degrade and lose its thickness (viscosity).
If over time the solution becomes thin or loses its thickness and viscosity it should be discarded.
HA degrades more quickly when used in formulations with a pH < 4 and > 11
Topical Use ONLY:
Topical use is usually recommended in concentrations between 0.5-1.0% in formulations.
Can be used at up to 100% in formulations.
Hyaluronic Acid is known to absorb between 500 and 1,000 times its weight in water.
